Turn up the heat to defeat Cap & Trade
We must not forget that Cap & Trade (American Clean Energy Security Act, Waxman-Markey Bill, Climate Change, Energy Bill, Global Warming) has not yet been voted on in the US Senate. I’m sure it will rear up along with the summer heat, yet to come. As usual, deals were cut to get support for the bill, passing in the US House of Representatives in June.
Even if you are in one of the states that the energy tax is claimed to have no cost (such as NJ) from the legislation, don’t be fooled. There will be costs to all consumers for gasoline, diesel, food & goods, as noted on the bottom of the linked visual.

The bill is a job killer and to boot will not have any substantive positive impact on our environment. Attend an Americans for Prosperity seminar, announced by Steve Lonegan - Senior Policy Director, and learn about this massive energy tax and how we organize and defeat further destruction of our economy.
To stop Cap-and-Trade we are presenting a series of educational seminars throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Click here for the seminar near you. The first ten (10) seminars will lead up to AFP’s Anti Cap-and-Tax Rally and Americans for Prosperity Foundation™’s national RightOnline™ online activism conference in Pittsburgh August 14-15. The rally will send a message to Pennsylvania’s two moderate senators Arlen Specter and Bob Casey that there is increasing sentiment to defeat Cap-and-Trade and stand up for American families.
Meanwhile, Americans for Prosperity Foundation™’s RightOnline™ conference will bring together the nation’s leading conservative bloggers and writers, such as HotAir’s Michelle Malkin and Redstate’s Erick Erickson, to provide training and advice for grassroots activists like you. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with conservatives from across the country. We’ll equip hundreds of activists with the knowledge and tools they need to saturate the blogosphere with our message of economic freedom and liberty.
At each of these ten seminars, we’ll be promoting the next phase of the plan. Americans for Prosperity™ will host two (2) massive Anti Cap-and-Trade Rallies on September 8 and 9th in two of America’s largest media markets, just as Senator Specter’s Senate Environment Committee meets to review the bill. We will strive to enlist thousands of freedom-loving Americans to let their Senators know we will oppose Cap-and-Trade and instead stand with American families that would be saddled with this huge tax increase.
But to make this effort successful I need your help. Please join us at one of the educational seminars near you, attend the RightOnline™ Conference, and help turn out as many family, friends, and co-workers as possible for our Anti Cap-and-Trade rallies in September.
For convenience the seminars and rally are listed below. But, please check the link provided for updated information.
